1/31/2010   2009 Western Upstate Home Sales Statistics   

Here in the Western Upstate MLS, 2,670 residential homes sold in 2009. That is a decrease of 13% from the number of units sold in 2008. The Western Upstate MLS is made up of Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee Counties.

The average price of all homes sold across the Western Upstate was down 7% versus 2008. You will also see the average days on market has increased in 2009. Below is a chart with the actual numbers, which shows the statistics for the waterfront homes on Lake Hartwell separately.

11/1/2009   Western Upstate SC Home Sales Statistics   
Here in the Western Upstate, there were 4,222 residential homes for sale listed in the MLS at the end of September. The SC Western Upstate MLS is made up of Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee Counties. 

Year to date through September, only 1,951 residential homes sold. That is down 22% versus the same period last year. The average “sold price” of homes is also down -9% versus the same period last year, and the average number of days on the market has increased from 136 to 160 days.

Waterfront home sale units through September are down -24% versus a year ago, and waterfront home prices are down -5%. The average days on market has increased from 137 to 189 days.

For the thirteen homes that sold for more than one million dollars so far this year, 12 of them were waterfront homes on Lake Keowee, and one was a commercial home in Greenville.
