Dog Concerns - We have had a number of compliants from residents about dogs in Teakwood Plantation. In most cases, the dogs were off the owner's property and acting aggressively towards passersby. Please keep in mind that our restrictive covenants require that pets be "confined within a secure fence or restrained by an appropriate leash." Reference section 17 of our original covenants for additional information. 12770
Dues are Due Earlier This Year - Due to the recent change in our annual meeting date and the related change in our fiscal/budget year, dues are due this year on or before May 15, 2009. The annual dues are $225 per member, and a remittance form will be included as part of the annual meeting minutes you will receive in the mail in a few days. The Lake is Way Up! With all the recent rain, plus some help from modified water management practices from the Corps, the lake has reached the 655 mark (this is as of 4/23/09), with the Corps projecting we will reach 657 before tapering off. 657 is only 3 feet below full pool, so that's not too shabby if we get there considering we were over 22 feet below full pool in early December. Don't forget to keep an eye on your dock ramps if the lake continues to rise. It's probably time to bring it in if you pushed out during the drought.
